Swapna Vala

Synopsis Swapna Vala is a psychological journey through grief, memory, and healing. It explores how reconnecting with one’s most vulnerable self is often the first step toward transformation and acceptance.

Adya, a 28-year-old woman, finds herself lost in a dreamlike forest after a traumatic car accident involving her parents. The film opens in darkness—with only the sounds of rain, the crash, and faint hospital monitors guiding us. When Adya regains consciousness, she is alone in an eerie forest filled with haunting silence, distant memories, and the song of a child.

She follows a mysterious young girl whose presence tugs at something deep within her. Along the way, Adya meets Mukut, a cloaked guardian who warns her, “In this darkness, everyone merges together.” But she pushes forward, drawn by the echoes of her past.

The forest becomes a symbolic maze mirroring her inner turmoil. When she discovers the child’s bag, inside is a drawing—a picture of her family. She realizes the little girl is her younger self, abandoned in her grief and forgotten over time. In a poignant moment, the child confronts her: “You forgot me, didn’t you?”

With her parents' voices calling from the void, Adya arrives at a mysterious door—the line between life and death. Her heart monitor flatlines… and then restarts.

Through this surreal and emotional odyssey, Swapna Vala reveals that healing begins when we reconnect with the forgotten parts of ourselves.
